Four magnet units for a small storage ring being assembled in a test rig for careful field measurements. The storage ring was to be used to measure 'g-2' of the muon with extreme accuracy. To achieve the required accuracy the magnets had to be corrected so that they give uniform field across their aperture. The CERN workshops had developed the techniques necessary to produce thin foils for shimming the magnets.
