In one of the most unforgettable matches in WTA Finals history, in 1990 at Madison Square Garden, Monica Seles defeated Gabriela Sabatini 6-4, 5-7, 3-6, 6-4, 6-2. This was the first women’s match to go five sets in 89 years. With this win, Seles became the youngest champion in WTA Finals history.
