In 1968, Victorian Gail Couper won her fourth Bells Easter Rally title, and this trophy. Remarkably, Gail would eventually go on to win ten Bells Easter championships, an astonishing run of success, claiming a place in Australian surfing folklore as the most successful surfer ever - male or female - at Bells.
