Portrait of Col. Halvorsen painted by Morgan Foshee. Col. Halvorsen is smiling, positioned diagonally across the image, wearing a green uniform and black cap.
From Morgan Foshee to Gail Halvorsen March 2018: "I met you briefly at the premier of Meet the Mormons. My dad helped edit some of the film and our friend, RJ Hill was part of the film crew. I'm reaching out to you because I am a local artist that is working on a project on promoting unity amongst our diversity. I'm painting 25 portraits of diverse people with interesting backgrounds and I think it would be amazing to have you as one of them! I'd give you and your family copies of the painting when I'm finished and invite you to the art show once its complete. I'm curious if you would be willing to let me come take your photograph in your uniform and share your story. . .
You are all set!
