The Gallery 1914 is a series of five showcases (three in the collection of CoCA in Toruń). Each figure shows a single man. On fibreboard, framed with a wooden strip, there are (successively, from the right side): a photograph (an up-to-date, black-and-white portrait en face, made by A. Maziec), a curriculum vitae (hand-written by the character), and the reproductions of memorabilia (documents, photos, and badges certifying the information presented in the curriculum vitae). In the upper right corner there is, made from a template, red lettering: GALERIA 1914. The series was dedicated to the memory of the artist's father, whose character is central to the idea of showcases. [M. Ipczyńska]
