TSR, Incorporated was, most notably, the originator and the first publisher of the Dungeons & Dragons (D&D) fantasy role-playing game. But after finding success with D&D, the firm branched out into other role-playing game subjects from licensed film and comic book characters to science fiction scenarios. Naturally, it also kept D&D alive with many subsequent editions through the years.
