The Gardener's House at the 'Salutation' at Sandwich in Kent, with cold frames flanking a wall. From a set of annotated photographs sent by Frank Farrer to his aunt Sophia Emma Wickham (Mrs William Wickham). Farrer commissioned Sir Edwin Lutyens to design the house and it was built 1911-12. It was probably Lutyens who laid out the garden to complement the house with an existing cottage being converted for the gardener.
Gift of Nicholas Wickham-King.
