The gardens of the royal textile factory are Versailles style with parterres and cypresses. They are embellished with lamp posts, lookout posts, arbours and fountains. The buildings where the servants that managed the site lived and worked dominate the view. Camilo Jose Cela describes it with these profound words: “the garden of the royal textile factory is a romantic garden, a garden to die in adolescence of love, despair, tuberculosis and nostalgia”.
