Gate in the northern rampart, exterior

The gate in the northern rampart, which is 2.14 meters wide at that place, is vaulted with a semi-circular vault, built of whitefish. It is 3.50 meters high and 1.80 meters wide. Above the portal of the gate, there is a shallow semicircular vaulted niche that was fresco-painted, but unfortunately the image of the saint, the protector of the fortress, has not been preserved.
