Geoff Marsh holds the record for the highest amount of runs scored by a Western Australian player at the WACA Ground when he hit 355 not out against South Australia in a Sheffield Shield match played over 15-18 December, 1989. Western Australia made 3-565 declaring the first innings closed leaving Marsh short of the all time domestic record at the ground 356 by Barry Richards in 1970 who was playing for South Australia at the time. The first wicket partnership of 431 in that match between Geoff Marsh and Mike Veletta is still a first-class WA partnership record today.
