Ginko biloba L.

The golden autumn foliage of Ginko biloba. This species is native to Asia and is considered one of the best known examples of "living fossil". In fact it has the same morphological, anatomical and structural characteristics found in Mesozoic fossils. Several Ginko biloba are hosted in the Gymnosperms collection.
