Glenarm Castle in the early 19th century

Anne Catherine, Countess of Antrim updated her house with gothic details, arched windows and turreted towers in the 1820s. The money ran out before the project was completed and the castle remained a mix of Palladian and Jacobethan Gothick revival styles until after her death.
