Gobang

Sun Zixi is a very successful oil painter and art educator. He has long been a professor at the Central Academy of Fine Arts and has been one of the leaders of the Central Academy of Fine Arts. He was born in Longkou City, Shandong Province in 1929, and later participated in the War of Resistance Against Japan. He has participated in the work of culture and art in the army since liberation. He graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts in 1959 and stayed in school for teaching. This painting depicts two soilders playing gobang. Despite the harsh environment, they still remember their love for life. The painter's outstanding painting ability to capture the dynamic and spatial relationships of characters is highlighted in his works. The works are full of warmth and contemporary feelings.
