A gold pocket watch with engine turned case featuring a cartouche within which is engraved a unicorn and another figure. Inside the back cover are four hallmarks and the letters JB/WW which is the maker's mark for London-based case makers, Josiah Barnett & William Waters who used this mark between 1843-53. The watchmaker's name & address are engraved around the mechanism behind the face: 'Plumbly & Parr, New Cavendish Street, LONDON. No 14874'. The watch face is white with black Roman numerals. The number 4 is written IIII. There is a small second face toward the bottom. A gold ring is attached to the knob at the top of the watch.
