Obiora Udechukwu, born in 1946 in Agulu, Nigeria, was profoundly influenced by uli murals and the Biafran War. Educated in colonial-era schools, he transferred to the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, during the Civil War. There, he earned his MFA and explored Igbo uli art, shaping his distinctive style.
