The painting Abuela y Nieta de Ansó ("Grandmother and Granddaughter of Ansó", 1911) can be considered the first of the series of type studies that Sorolla painted for the decoration of the Hispanic Society Library. Taking advantage of the stay of several Ansotanas in Madrid, where they came to sell tea, Sorolla painted Abuela y Nieta de Ansó, which he painted in his new studio, now the Sorolla Museum. The protagonists are Sebastiana Puyó and her granddaughter Sebastiana Brun, from Casa Tomasé in Ansó; the youngest would pose for Sorolla's brushes again in the summer of 1914, this time together with Pascuala Mendiara, from Casa Cherón, for the painting Tipos del Valle de Ansó
