Great Maytham, Rolvenden, Kent

A house called Maytham Hall was built here in 1721 by James Monypenny. Much of the house was destroyed by fire in 1893. It was rebuilt in 1909-12 to designs by the architect Sir Edwin Lutyens and was named Great Maytham, the original name of the manor.
