La forsitia verde (Forsythia viridissima Lindl., Oleaceae) es un arbusto caducifolio hasta de 3 m, nativo de China y Corea, donde vive en riberas y márgenes de bosque. Las ramas son verdes o de un verde amarillento. Las hojas tienen un contorno de elíptico a lanceolado y margen serrado o entero hacia la parte distal, son agudas y hasta de 4 cm.
