The salon vert, or green room, in the home belonging to Baroness Pauline de Rothschild (nee Pauline Fairfax Potter) located on the rue Mechain in Paris. The largest room in the apartment, this detail shows the 18th century Chinese wallpaper; long, low double-cushioned sofa striped sofa; a gold-shot tapestry on the floor; very low rolling straw trays edged in steel; on the tray sits blue-and-white K'ang Hsi vases each with a tall yellow iris flower; red marble fireplace.
