The salon vert, or green room, in the home belonging to Baroness Pauline de Rothschild (nee Pauline Fairfax Potter) located on the rue Mechain in Paris. The largest room in the apartment, it is furnished with 18th century Chinese wallpaper; white silk chairs; blue and gold chairs by Nadal; a gold-shot tapestry on the floor; shaded silver candlesticks set low; very low rolling straw trays edged in steel; on the tray sits blue-and-white K'ang Hsi vases each with a tall yellow iris flower; crystal flower chandelier.
