Sangju, South Korea

In South Korea, it is a common bird that breeds in dense forests. It is known as the "green woodpecker" in Korean due to the light green feathers on its back. The males have red feathers on their heads, resembling red spots, while the females lack these feathers, making it easy to distinguish between genders. Unlike other birds that hunt for prey outside, blue magpies hunt for prey hidden within trees.
