Grey Wall

Huang Rui, born in 1952 in Beijing, now lives and works In Beijing. Initiating the Stars Group Exhibition in 1979, Huang is one of the organizers of the Stars Group and a leader of the avant-garde art in China.ln 1984 he moved to Japan, and held an exhibition there in 1989 in commemoration of the ten-year development of the Stars Group- Huang is also one of the earliest artists to hold exhibitions at the 798 Art Zone, also known as the Dashanzl Art District, In Beijing and an initiator in the planning and launching of the Dashanzl Art Festival. His artworks cover such forms as installation, performing arts, concept art, and photography.
