The GRP A8 is one of the physically largest synthesisers ever made. Only 23 intsruments were produced - 22 for the production line and one designer Roman Groppioni Paolo made for his own personal use. The GRP A8 is completely pre-wired, with a huge number of switches and knobs to change the many parameters available at every stage of the signal flow. It consists of two completely identical (upper and lower)synthesizer systems It can be used as a mono (6 VCOs), duo (2x3 VCOs) or poly (2x3 VCOs) synth. The difference between the two-part DUAL and POLY modes is that in the first case a common MIDI channel controls both sounds at the same time. In POLY, on the other hand, two separate MIDI channels can be selected. Its LFOs have an enormous frequency range from low frequency to 1700 Hertz.
