This crest hat has an inside band. The hat is shaped like an inverted, closed funnel. The piece is close plain and diagonal (skip-stitch)twined to create a textured pattern. The woven pattern is further ornamented with pigments in motif of a formline painted crest animal symbol in black and red-orange. There is a 4-pointed star at the top of the hat with alternating colors of red-orange and black. The is a band or red-orange color around the rim of the hat.
