Hampstead Garden Suburb,

Hampstead Garden Suburb was founded by social reformer Henretta Barnett. Inspired by the poverty and slum housing she had witnessed in central London, Hampstead was to be a residential suburb for people of all social classes. Barnett engaged Raymond Unwin as master planner for the scheme. Unwin was also involved iwth the design of Letchworth Garden City.
