Travelling puppeteers, brothers Pavel and Alexander Nosálek performed on the territory of Slovakia at the turn of the 20th century.
Alexander was a talented visual artist – he painted posters and the scenery for the family theatre.
In the later stages of their career, the brothers Nosálek used printed posters for their productions (these were usually bilingual – in Slovak and Hungarian).
