Head of an Angel or Saint

The elegantly painted face, much of the wavy golden hair, and a large part of the red halo of this angel or saint were originally part of a larger panel. These elements were later composed into the current setting with sections of both new glass, painted to look old, and palimpsests (replacements painted on old glass).
