A reinforced, close-fitting headdress made of greenish brocade silk with small embroidered flowers and metal threads and small roses. It is rimmed with a sewn-on metal trimming ribbon, small roses, pearls and colour stones. The brocade part of the headdress has a reinforced shape due to the linen lining. Headgear has a telling social role, since its shape, material, decoration and the occasion on which it was used, tell us who the person wearing the headgear is. Such headdresses were worn by wealthy bourgeoises.
Datation: mid-18th century.
