Swept-back bonnet. Commercial black felt skull cap circled by 32 turkey feathers with string spacer. Red-dyed chicken feather fluffs glued to base of each large feather, and feather ends wrapped with yellow yarn. Rabbit fur and horsehair glued to each feather tip. Loom woven beadwork browband sewn to front edge of cap. Two pink-dyed rabbit fur strips and circular shell ornament attached to each side of browband. Made ca. 1972 for sale by Michael Four Horses, a Sioux living in South dakota. Purchased by donor from Indian Arts and Crafts Store at 2nd and Cherry Streets, Seattle, Washington, in 1976 for $200.
