The General Archive of Andalusia has its headquarters in the "Pabellón del Futuro" built for the 1992 Universal Exhibition in Seville. The building, one of the most emblematic of Expo’92 and the work of architects Josep Martorell, Oriol Bohigas and David Mackay, in cooperation with the engineer, Peter Rice, was adapted to house the archives. After the remodeling, the building had the capacity to store 47 linear miles of paper documents, in addition to areas for consulting documents, exhibitions, meetings and an auditorium.
