Helicoidal ramp

The staircase is built to connect the three apartments and the Gallery created in the new wing. Its ovate plan is constructed using almost straight elements, linked by semicircles; the central septum is animated by a sequence of recesses; other recesses were envisaged in the external course of the wall. In the grand arched entrance, two Corinthian columns with the characteristic inverted arch volutes - are enriched by an exuberant stucco decoration.
