Henrietta Barnett memorial, Central Square, Hampstead Garden Suburb, Barnet, Greater London

Hampstead Garden Suburb was founded by Henrietta Barnett. Inspired by witnessing poverty and poor living conditions in London, her idea was to create a residential suburb for all classes of society, living in well-designed houses with gardens in close proximity to open spaces and allotments. Designed by Edwin Lutyens, the monument to Barnett was unveiled in Central Square on 17 July 1937.
