This small earthenware pot for Holloway’s Ointment was found by ASI in a privy at 365 Yonge St., Toronto, during the 2016 excavation of the site. It is one of over 10 000 artifacts recovered. This site, called the Squire site, comprises plots 363-365 Yonge Street, and includes rear yard, outbuilding and privy features typical of urban lots. These pots were manufactured between 1853 and 1879, and in that time the property was occupied by a cab proprietor, a number of cloth brokers, a furniture maker, a saw maker and a number of butchery businesses.
