Holy Family chapel in the Royal Basilica of Mafra. The marble altarpiece representing the Holy Family is by Alessandro Giusti (1715-1799), an Italian master who was the first director of Mafra's School of Sculpture, founded here in 1753 by King José I.
The chapel is dressed for a religious ceremony with the church draperies commanded by king João V for this church.
