George Edozie is a multidisciplinary artist born in 1972 in Enugu State, Nigeria. He has displayed remarkable talent since his childhood in Nsukka, where he created paintings, sketches, and various crafts. In 1996, he earned a BA degree in Fine and Applied Arts from the University of Benin. Edozie's art explores themes that confront socio-cultural, political, and economic biases within society.
"Homage to Asidere" pictures a cityscape with towering buildings set against roads marked by potholes and rough, uneven surfaces. Vehicles navigate these streets, while young girls carry wares on their heads. The artwork seems to capture the essence of a bustling yet serene neighborhood.
