The entrance hall in the home of designer Tony Duquette and painter Elizabeth Johnstone in Beverly Hills, California. The room has white walls of acoustic tiles with a black blocked cement flooring and brass mounted wooden Spanish doors. Duquette himself designed the metal holders for the giant clamshells used to pot Cymbidium plants. The room also includes a Mexican painting of a woman in a red dress, an Eastern Asian style statue of a cross legged figure, a colonial Mexican chest, and a black and white rectangular cow skin rug.
