The 129th in World War I is known for its D Battery, which was under the command of then-Captain Harry S. Truman.
This image comes from the service of Francis Poindexter, who enlisted in the 129th Field Artillery 6/13/1917, and rose to Regt. Sgt. Maj., officers' training at Camp Doniphan, transferred to Air Service, 2nd Lt.
