This mural, located at the Washington Heights Expeditionary Learning School in Upper Manhattan, was created in July 1999 by local youth under the guidance of Dominican artist Chiqui Mendoza and the leadership of Prof. Iván Domínguez. It pays tribute to the genre of son and honors Dominican singer Santiago Cerón.
