Homestead of fruit grower, Balanesti, Gorj County

Balaneşti household, also knonwn as Casa Ionici, impresses with the house built of round beams, being one of the monumental wood buildings from northern Oltenia represented in ASTRA Museum. This house appears on the list of historical monuments as Casa Ionici. The house deviates from local architectural pattern. That is defined with two rooms downstairs, worked in massive oak beams. Floor follows the contour of the ground floor and is designed housing. From primba (kitchen with free oven ) can enter the living room and the "good room". Lighting was provided in each small window.
