A misdiagnosis in childhood left a permanent scar on Hsin-Chien Huang’s right cornea. The incident deprived him of depth perception and ability to perceive physical distance. A decade later, a donated cornea from an anonymous donor in Sri Lanka was finally transplanted in his right eye.
