The Begam Bazar Chauraha Street and towards the right side of it, a thickly inhabited area within the narrow street lanes can be seen on the map. In earlier times, the revenue of the Begam bazar area was allotted to the chief Begum of Nizam, hence the place named after the Begum. Besides the residences of common people, the houses of the officers, especially worked under the military department are identifiable, those are marked with the title bear by the officers according to their rank. Also, there are many temples dedicated to different deities as well as Takyas of different people are visible around the area. Takya was the place where a Muslim monk or dervish resides. Next, Shahi Fil Khana covering an extensive area is visible. Fil Khana was a stable set apart for the elephants. Moreover, Mukhtar Ganj Road at the right side of Shahi fil Khana is visible, which mainly confined to markets.
