The first laptop from IBM and also the first IBM PC that could run on batteries, which was another breakthrough. As the name suggests, it could be converted. The user was able to remove the LCD and connect the PC to an external display. Various adapters and additional devices (such as a printer, also present in this case) were also available to increase the usability of the machine.
