Portrait of Pietro Sommaruga

Pietro Sommaruga (1825-1902) does not directly benefit the Ospedale Maggiore. The granddaughter Luigia Macchi (1883-1993), daughter of Cesare Macchi of Teresa Sommaruga, appoints the Ospedale Maggiore heir of a sum equal to 26 million lire (a portion of building in Via Lecco and many titles) and asks , as well as the maintenance of the family tomb at the Monumental Cemetery, which, in place of its own, commemorative portraits of the mother's father and grandfather are performed (she also gives the "family" one of the mother, executed by Giuseppe Palanti) who was responsible for the wealth she had inherited.
