Label Text: The small, but strategically important town of Phoenix Castle (Fenghuangcheng), was taken by Japanese forces one day after the land battle of Yalu River. The First Army split in half, one marching toward Mukden, the capital of Manchuria, and the second toward Port Arthur, along with the Second Army.
