Label Text: After capturing Port Arthur, the Japanese forces split yet again- Field Marshal Ōyama and the Second Army crossed the Yellow Sea to lay siege to Weihaiwei, and the remainder of the First Army moved north toward The Liao River. The City of Haicheng is north of Port Arthur and was captured on December 13th. Chinese forces tried three times to re-take it, but with no success.
