Impression of the Setting Sun

Sun Cixi (1929.3—2016.5.30) is a native of Wenjiang Village, Langao Town, Longkou City, Shandong Province. His creation has influenced the Chinese painting circle with its distinct epochality. As a participant in the Chinese revolution and an artist of the people, Mr. Sun Cixi, with his persistent faith and great love of humanity, has continuously created sincere and moving masterpieces, making important contributions to the nationalization of Chinese oil painting and the development of Chinese art and illustration in the 20th century. The Impression of the Setting Sun is a work created by Mr. Sun when he visited Gulangyu Island in Xiamen.
