Edward Trojanowski (1873-1930), known primarily for his work in the field of applied arts, was also a proficient landscape painter, educated in the “landscape class” of Jan Stanisławski. He created synthetic, small-format works which are notable for their mood. This view of an urban park captured on a grey spring day is a melancholy composition maintained in monochromatic shades of grey.
