In the painter's study

In this painting, dated 1896, a lady with a flowered hat blissfully observes the work of the painter, gracefully leaning on her umbrella. The carpet in the foreground is magnificent, we have the impression we could reach out and touch it. As always, inside the atelier here depicted there are paintings scattered all around, they are very expressive even though they are only just sketched.
