Incense burner made in archaistic style, that is to say with a profile derived from the shape of the "gui" ritual vases (large bowls for the preservation or presentation of ritual dishes) from the time of the Zhou dynasty (1050-256 B.C.). On the bulb-shaped body, there are two elephant-headed grips that divide the body into two halves, each decorated with clouds in the middle of which flies a fantastic being, which can perhaps be identified with a dragon.
On the base of the bowl there is a six-character mark of kingdom in regular writing which reads: "Da Ming Xuan De Nian Zhi", that is "Made in the Xuan De era of the great Ming".
