Industry & Agriculture-II

This is probably the last mural painted by Sadequain before his death in 1987. This is its first public showing as it has been seen only by visitors to the library of the State Bank's Peshawar office. It has been carefully taken out from there and brought here for the collection of Sadequain's work in the SBP Museum's Art Gallery while a replica has been put in its place in Peshawar office.

This mural has particular significance as it is slightly different from Sadequain's body of works. He has used lighter and brighter colors, with healthy, robust figures, happily engaged in their pursuits of industry and agriculture and striving for the knowledge of earth's treasures and mysteries of the skies. The overall feeling on looking at this mural is that of a lightness of being akin to happiness and hope in the endeavors of humankind.
